Dale Ellis

Dale Ellis acts as a consultant to Anthony Lombardo & Associates assisting in the overall management of land use clients, providing advice and direction on planning and permitting issues and working directly on a wide range of projects.

Dale worked in the Monterey County Planning and Building Inspection Departments for 34 years. He was the County Zoning Administrator and acted as an independent hearing officer for more than 20 years. He spent a number of years as the Assistant Director of Planning and retired as the Director of Building Services.

Mr. Ellis brings particular expertise in planning, zoning, CEQA, general and specific plans and code enforcement. He has worked on almost every major project that has come before the County of Monterey in the last 25 years. Mr. Ellis is the primary author of Monterey County’s Zoning Ordinance and Coastal Implementation plan. He has also taught classes in planning and zoning, CEQA and code enforcement.

Mr. Ellis is also the Government Affairs Director for the Monterey County Hospitality Association.
